The CX20 hit fail safe return to home at 1.4 miles on all stock radio gear in my previous range test video. With this test I got 2.2 miles! I wish the sun was out for a nicer picture but there was some volcano vog and it was also overcast so sorry for that.
I've recently added a TX booster, a home made parabolic windsurfer directional antenna deflector and longer range FPV gear. FPV video was clear throughout this flight and I had perfect control as well. No TX signal loss so I had to turn back only because of battery limitations. For some reason the OSD was not working so I had to put it in RTL to get my heading to where home was when returning. Otherwise everything went as good as could be expected.
Probably could have gone a little further if I could have kept it in a straight line so i'll be trying to push the 2.2 mile mark in future flights. Sony Action Camera is performing much better since I've made some gimbal adjustments for vibration since the last flight. There is still a bit of shake at 40-45 mph but it seems like camera jello is practically gone.
