Repurposed Spy Space Telescope Could Directly Image Alien Worlds | Video

NASA's Wide Field Infrared Survey Telescope's (WFIRST) Coronagraph instrument can block out the glare of a star giving it the ability to measure the atmospheres of orbiting planets. WFIRST was donated to the space agency by the U.S. National Reconnaissance Office.
