RC plane: The first successful flights of Ron's "son of AXN" (phoenix)
Yes, despite the setbacks, Ron's RC plane called Son of AXN Floater or "the Phoenix" has flown. Regular viewers will remember that this plane (believe it or not) used to be an AXN Clouds Floater - until he tried to move a hangar with it -- at speed.
Salvaging as much of the wreckage as he could, Ron then built this new plane from the remains -- but it just didn't fly last time he brought it out.
He had to make some pretty dramatic changes to the wing incidence and he's using one of my APC props but now it does fly -- and what's more, it shows great promise.
By now he will have already made a few more changes to the angles and I suspect that next time it appears at the field, it will be a little bullet!
So, if you've got any broken planes -- just send them to Ron and he'll fix em right up, making them better than new in the process.
