If you've already got an android smart phone and you want to do FPV.. all you need is a cheap easy cap dongle, OTG cable, and EasyCap Viewer app from the android store to turn your phone/tablet/computer into an all in one FPV monitor / DVR recorder!
Here I test flying with the device for real time video and also the recording it provides to the Nexus 6. It was about 20MPH Winds in the park so up in elevation it must have been stronger. I was flying into the wind going out and had the tailwind coming home.
I have been working on trying to stabalise the shake and Jello of the Sony Cam in the Q2D gimbal and am using different rubber damper stiffness. These are the stiffest of the bunch and apparently are not doing to great. I can tell it's going to be a long and painstaking process to find the right setup to make the camera smooth.
Almost found out the hard way that Position Hold mode for Arducopter will not keep your altitude as Altitude Hold mode does. I really got lucky here as I could not see the screen for a bit because of the sun and luckily throttle up before plummeting into a persons yard and trees 3/4 of a mile towards Ulupalakua from Kula Park.
