For about $32 ready-to-fly, the JXD 388 is a surprisingly good micro quadcopter. Very stable at low rates, great performer at high:
JXD 388 Pros
Flies great! Stable flyer at low rate, yet zippy at high
Larger than other micros, brightly colored, very easy to see
Well built, and crash resistant
Multiple bright LED's, great for night flying
Inexpensive, cheaper than nearly all other quads.
Transmitter also works with WLToys V2X2 quadcopters
JXD 388 Cons
Heavier than other micros, this improves its stability in all modes, but it also reduces flight time.
Final thought: the JXD 388 is very cheap and very tough. Yet it flies better and more stable than much more costly quads. This is probably one of the best quadcopters for beginners to learn on, yet is also fun for advanced flyers.
WLToys V252
The V252 is also a great performer. Very lightweight, it can accelerate faster than all other micro quadcopters, and is a delight to fly for intermediate to advanced flyers. But it is also very difficult to see, and can be somewhat difficult to fly for beginner quadcopter flyers. Currently it's out of production, and also becoming difficult to find.
