I had some major problems setting up my head tracking system with the Frsky Taranis, and it might be quite difficult the first time you do it. To save you the hassle of browsing the internet for information, I collected the basics in this video.
This is how to setup the Skyzone FPV goggles with the Frsky Taranis 9XD Plus to get the head tracking to work. If you don't want to watch the hole video, follow these steps:
1. Plug in the cable between your transmitter and goggles. This cable should be included when you buy a pair of goggles.
2. Turn the goggles on with the power cable and a lipo battery.
3. Turn the transmitter on, and plug the pan and tilt servo into two of the free channels in your receiver. Usually slot 5 and 6, when using a 6 channel system. Then power your plane and receiver.
4. Go to the mixer in the Frsky Taranis, and go to the selected channels for the pan and tilt (5 and 6). Set the "Source" to TR7 and see if it works. If you don't get any response, try the other TR-channels. Do the same with both pan and tilt servo, till you have the correct directions and a functional head tracking system.
