Diatone ET 200 Full Review, Tuning, Build Pictures, and FPV Flying
UPDATE: If you buy this ET 200, be sure to buy extra arms. The hole at the end of the arm inside the quad is the weakest part and I've already broken 3 arms.
Honestly, I wasn't that excited about having another 1806 motor with 5045 propellers when I started the ET 200 build. However, I'm glad I finished it. This quad turned out to fly near perfectly with minimal tuning. Its light weight (239 grams with no battery) and thrust from the 5045s make this a breeze to fly. I may increase my rates a little more as time goes on, but it is pretty awesome the way it is. I built another 200mm quad, but with 4" props; it doesn't have near the speed this one does.
I'm slowing coming to realize that the different sized quads have different purposes. The 200mm size quads with 5" props are pretty large for neighborhood flying, but the 150mm with 3" props is perfect. The 150mm size quad isn't going to win any Drone Racing events if it has to compete with the 200mm+ sized quads but I'd say this ET 200 is going to put up a good fight (and maybe win!).
Anyway, I'm very happy with this Diatone ET 200 frame. I need to get a larger antenna on it as the little shorty I'm using now gets its signal interrupted too easily.
This is another lengthy video but includes building tips, parts list, tuning screen shots from OpenPilot, along with flying footage. If you already have a quad you're in love with, this may not be the video for you.... or you may find yourself wanting another!
