Speed Climber Marcin Dzieński attempts to climb faster than an elevator.
He is joined by Alex Pettitt who tries to understand exactly how this can even work.
The reigning king of European Speed Climbing Marcin Dzieński raced a moving elevator that was positioned next to a specially constructed 23-metre-high wall in his home country of Poland.
Speed climbing’s increased popularity has led to the sport’s inclusion in next year’s Olympics in Tokyo, Japan, where it will make its debut. To celebrate, Polish speed climber Marcin Dzieński decided to take on a new challenge.

The project involved climbing a specially constructed 23-metre climbing wall before an elevator that was positioned right next to him reached the same height. The ideal location for this project happened to be Poland’s Olympic Centre, in Warsaw, where there was space to build the wall next to the building's elevator.
