How to Diagnose Plumbing Drain Problems
Richard tracks down the source of a clogged drain using some high tech equipment.
Where to find it?
Richard used a SeeSnake camera system to see inside the drain line and a SR-24 Line Locator with Bluetooth and GPS to locate the pipe under the floor. Both are manufactured by Ridgid.
Plumbing contractors can be hired to help diagnose drain problems. This diagnostic equipment can also be rented from home centers or tool rental shops.
Scott warms up a chilly bathroom by installing an electric convection heater.
Scott installed the Envi High-Efficiency Whole Room Hardwired Electric Panel Heater, manufactured by eheat.
To see the heat, Scott used the Flir One, a thermal camera that attaches to a smart phone manufactured by Flir.
All of the other supplies for this segment, including 14 gauge wiring and wire nuts are available at home centers and electrical supply houses.
