After the celeb-touting smash that was ‘The Hum’ from Dimitri Vegas, Like Mike & Ummet Ozcan, sending shockwaves through the blogosphere with its unapologetically crazy concept, the Smash The House bosses and unstoppable brothers are now back with US hip-hop sensation Ne-Yo for the hit of the Summer, ‘Higher Place’.
First up teasing fans with a series of videos across their social media channels, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike have welcomed fans in for a peek of their lifestyle, as they share a ride with their Grandparents via helicopter and settle down in the sunshine for some BBQ time with familiar faces including fellow Tomorrowland resident Yves V, the twosome have now taken ‘Higher Place’ out of the 2-dimensional and into the realms of reality.
Premiered live at EDC Las Vegas last weekend, with the Grammy-award winning Ne-Yo himself joining the duo as a very special live guest on-stage, that had tongues wagging for the remainder of the three-day dance music spectacular, over 60,000 fans were elevated to a whole other realm by experiencing the live debut of the track before anyone else on the planet.
Merging together the pairing’s ear for a party-slaying hit thanks to their studio skill, Ne-Yo makes up the trifecta with his silky-smooth vocal, that when added to the melodic, hands-in-the-air make-up of ‘Higher Place’, results in one of the most hotly-anticipated vocal tracks of the season set to dominate shores from the US to Europe and back again.
