With adidas Football launching their new ACE15+ Primeknit, we go through the current range and tell you which boot is best.
The ACE is a control boot master-crafted by adidas and is the long term successor to the Predator range. The Ace 15 ranges were launched in the summer of 2015 ready for the forthcoming season so players were adequately kitted out with the latest technology. The Ace 15.1 posed alongside the X 15.1 and Messi 15.1 as part of adidas' Summer Pack which replaced the F50, Predator, nitrocharge and 11Pro ranges. The Ace was initially tested by several adidas wearers prior to it's official release including Mesut Ozil and James Rodriguez who now act as headline wearers for the silo.
The Ace 15 has been engineered with three different offerings of composition, including the synthetic, leather, and Primeknit upper variations. Inspired by previous control boots by adidas such as the Predator Instinct and LZ, the standard Ace uses a synthetic webbing pattern on the forefoot and midfoot to add extra friction between the boot and the ball for enhanced curve, accuracy and power. For the players preferring a more traditional touch and feel on the ball, the Ace is available in a classic K-Leather version which spans across the toe-box and mid-foot regions to further enhance the comfort levels experienced during use. Combining the lightweight composition of a synthetic with the comfort of natural leather, up steps the revolutionary Ace Primeknit which uses the innovative knitted upper to create one of the most premium products within the football boot market.
A specially designed conical stud pattern dubbed TOTALCONTROL is installed for wicked agility and enhanced traction on both firm and articial ground surfaces. Added conical grooves have been added down the spine of the sole for extra traction and acceleration on the surface. An external heel counter adds low-profile cushioning of the heel. For those footballers out there wanting something on the cheaper side there is the 2, 3 and 4 ranges available for club, youth and entry level footballers.
