Prague on a Sunday - Czech Republic 4K Travel Channel

In the morning after our arrival in Prague, we first go to the train station to buy a ticket for the bus to Germany. After the debacle with the bus in Warsaw, we want to make sure where exactly the bus leaves. Later we will take the DB bus to Mannheim. Departure point is directly in front of the train station.
A good opportunity to take a few film shots of the worth seeing station concourse.
Our next destination is the Charles Bridge, and so we take the metro to the station Staroměstská.
But first, we pass the Rudolfinum, a concert hall and a gallery, which is the seat of the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra. Built between 1876 and 1884, the Rudolfinum was under the patronage of Crown Prince Rudolf. Together with his ancestor, Emperor Rudolf II, he gave the Rudolfinum its name.
From here we have for the first time a view of the Prague Castle on the Hradschin with the St. Vitus Cathedral. Hradschin was actually the 4th Prague city. This part of Prague lies next to the castle.
We reach the Old Town Bridge Tower, the entrance to Charles Bridge. The Catholic St. Francis Serafin Church and the Catholic St. Salvator Church surround the square in front of it.
Next to the St. Francis Serafin Church is the Charles Bridge Museum and opposite the Torture Museum with its medieval torture instruments.
In the middle of the square stands the monument to Charles IV, one of the most important emperors of the Holy Roman Empire in the Middle Ages. He lived and resided in Prague. In his reign, Prague blossomed into the Golden City. The monument was erected in 1848 on the 500th anniversary of the founding of Charles University. Charles IV was the author of the Golden Bull, which regulated the election of the Roman-German king.
Having arrived at this point, we wonder if a Sunday in the middle of August is the right time to visit the Charles Bridge. Densely packed streams of tourists pass by and make it impossible to take decent videos here. That's why we stop here and decide to come back the next morning at 7 am.

Am Morgen nach unserer Ankunft in Prag machen wir uns zuerst auf den Weg zum Bahnhof um ein Ticket für den Bus nach Deutschland zu kaufen. Außerdem wollen wir uns, nach dem Debakel in Warschau versichern, wo genau der Bus abfährt. Wir fahren mit dem DB Bus später weiter bis Mannheim. Abfahrtsort ist direkt vor dem Bahnhof.
Wir nutzen die Gelegenheit für einige Aufnahmen der sehenswerten Bahnhofshalle.
Mit der Metro fahren wir bis zur Station Staroměstská, da wir zuerst zur Karlsbrücke gehen wollen.
Doch zuerst passieren wir das Rudolfinum, ein Konzerthaus und eine Galerie, die der Sitz der tschechischen Philharmonie ist. Das von 1876 bis 1884 errichtete Gebäude stand unter der Schirmherrschaft von Kronprinz Rudolf. Er war zusammen mit seinem Vorfahren Kaiser Rudolf II Namensgeber für das Rudolfinum.
Von hier aus hatten wir erstmals einen Blick auf die Prager Burg auf dem Hradschin mit dem Veitsdom. Wobei mit Hradschin eigentlich die 4. Prager Stadt bezeichnet wurde. Dieser Stadtteil von Prag liegt neben der Burg.
Wir erreichen den Altstädter Brückenturm. Er bildet den Zugang zur Karlsbrücke. Der Platz davor ist eingerahmt von der katholischen Kreuzherrenkirche (Kirche des Hl. Franziskus-Serafin) und der katholischen Salvatorkirche.
Neben der Kreuzherrenkirche liegt das Karlsbrücken-Museum und gegenüber das Foltermuseum mit mittelalterlichen Folter-Instrumenten.
In der Mitte des Platzes steht das Denkmal von Karl IV, einem der bedeutendsten Kaiser des Heiligen Römischen Reiches im Mittelalter. Er lebte und residierte in Prag. In seiner Regierungszeit erblühte Prag zur Goldenen Stadt. Das Denkmal wurde 1848 zum 500. Jahrestag der Gründung der Karls-Universität errichtet. Er war Verfasser der Goldenen Bulle, die die Wahl des römisch-deutschen Königs regelte.
An dieser Stelle angekommen, stellen wir uns die Frage, ob ein Sonntag mitten im August die richtige Zeit ist, die Karlsbrücke zu besuchen. Dicht gedrängt strömen die Touristen an uns vorbei, so dass es unmöglich ist, hier vernünftige Videos zu machen. Deshalb brechen wir hier ab und beschließen wir am nächsten Morgen um 7 Uhr nochmals vorbei zu kommen.
