112” AeroPlusRC Extra 330 LT - Christian Klatzka
I was chatting with my good friend Horst Zeller of RC Scale Airplanes fame (see link below) and he was telling me about footage he filmed of some Emcotec Team Pilots having fun with their planes at the offices of GROB Aircraft in Bavaria, Germany. It was a day of flying and fun in celebration of Andreas Golla’s birthday. Andreas is the owner of Emcotec, a company that provides a wide variety of products to the RC Airplane hobby.
Unfortunately for Horst, visitors to his channel expect to see nothing but huge awesome warbirds, big delicious Mokis and excellent pilots that fly scale. As such, videos of 3D planes are not as well received as they should be, even though they are filmed to the same high standard as every other video on Horst’s channel (and the flying is awesome!)
So, rather than upload the videos and have to put up with disinterest and potential complaints from his viewers, he asked if I would like to upload his footage on my channel.
I jumped at the opportunity, who wouldn’t?
It is an honor to be able to offer you a few of these high quality videos filmed by the big guy himself. It gives me something to aspire to.
This video features EMCOTEC Team Pilot Christian Klatzka flying an 111.5” AeroPlusRC Extra 330 LT powered by a GP-123cc engine with a Zimmermann exhaust. All the electronic goodies in the plane are from EMCOTEC.
Christian mentioned that he did not throw the plane around as much as he normally does because the engine was acting up a bit for this flight. It had something to do with the big altitude swing from where he flies at home compared to this location. It is more fun to party than to tune engines!
A big shout out to Horst for gifting his footage and a big shout out to EMCOTEC for allowing the footage to be uploaded to YouTube.
