Flite Test FT Viggen - Maiden Flight

This is the maiden flight of Jack’s new Flite Test Viggen patterned after the SAAB 37 Viggen. Jack bought the “Speed Build Kit” and in just a few hours he had a new, fun and inexpensive EDF that flies great. The donor plane for the electronics was an old Airfield RC 70mm EDF Jet from Nitroplanes.
The airframe was developed by David Windestål of Flite Test fame and after seeing how well this plane flies, we think he really got this one right (and of course we have a lot of respect for David anyway)! It performs well in normal flight as well as in high alpha.
Please forgive me for a mistake I made in the video. I put a caption in that says it is flying on a 3s 2200 lipo when in fact, it is using a 4s 2200. This is me spanking myself!

The FT Viggen is the first Super Series speed build kit to be added to our store. The Super Series features intermediate build techniques and high performance flight characteristics.
After seeing the plane fly we can say the guys at Flite Test weren’t lying, it flies just as advertised!
