In this episode, the Roswell Flight Test Crew unboxes, sets up and tests the Eachine Googles One high-definition video goggles from Banggood. The unit features a full 1080p HD display with a Fresnel lens, as well as an integrated 5.8 GHz video receiver with A, B, E, F band reception, as well as RaceBand – making it well suited for analog First-Person View (FPV) flying. It also features an HDMI input, to enable immersive FPV flying with drones from manufacturers such as DJI or Yuneec, which include an HDMI-out jack on their controllers – as well as making it suitable for use as a personal cinema display or computer monitor. The battery that ships with the Goggles One is compatible with Fat Shark goggles, but can be re-charged using a micro-USB power source and includes an LED indicator to reveal its charge state. The episode concludes with a flight demonstration using a DJI Inspire One, to test its effectiveness as an FPV system.
