AUVSI Xponential 2018 Preview and Awards Announcement

In this episode, the Roswell Flight Test Crew provides a preview of the 2018 AUVSI Xponential show in Denver, Colorado, April 30 to May 3. The big news in the run up to the show has been the announcement of the finalists for the AUVSI Xcellence Awards, making their debut this year. Among the nominees: Patrick Sherman of the Roswell Flight Test Crew, who is up for the Individual Award as a Training and Education Provider, for Airmanship and Contributions to the UAS Industry. Awards will also be given for: Counter UAS Technology; Cybersecurity; Detect and Avoid; Inspection, Mapping and Surveying; Remote Identification, Innovative Unmanned Solutions; Training and Education Organizations; Operations and Safety Organizations; Individual Contributions to Safety; and, a Humanitarian Award, sponsored by DJI. Xponential will include other first-time events, including an outdoor flight demonstration and drone racing. The trade show floor will feature more than 700 vendors, as well as pavilions for nine states and seven foreign nations and provinces.
