XK X380-C EPIC Crash - Fell from the sky like a rock

10/13/2016 Update: The price has dropped quite a bit on these out on Banggood (). I am tempted to try this quad again.
I caught the XK Detect X380-C on sale at HobbyKing for about $200. I paid a total of $226 with rechargeable batteries for the transmitter. Great deal right?! I waited about a week before flying to get familiar with the setup and I was also waiting on the carry case/backpack that I ordered. I was super careful because I had read about people having crashes. I did the transmitter setup and the compass calibration dance. As you can see from the video I had GPS lock indicated by the two intermittent flashing green LEDs. I also let the quad hover at low altitude for about a minute before taking it up.
Didn't matter.
Once my replacement comes in, I will only be flying this thing at about 10-feet off the ground for the first 10 flights to make sure I can trust it. This is an awesome quad, but I just happened to get one of the bad ones.
