ProPan 2.1 FPV Pan and Tilt System - First Look
Here’s a look at the new ProPan 2.1 professional grade pan and tilt system from FPVGadgets.

This FPV pan and tilt system has undergone continuous improvement since it was first introduced. In this video, we’ll introduce you to the Propan as well as cover off the enhancements that lead to the release of the 2.1 version.
The Propan 2.1 is designed for medium to large sized FPV airframes. Planes such as the SkyWalker, SkyHunter and MyTwinDream are perfect applications for this pan and tilt unit.
Because I am inherently lazy, one of the huge benefits of the ProPan 2.1 is that it comes fully assembled and dialed in.
It features 360 degree panning using a standard servo and this is made possible through the use of a smooth belt drive gear reduction system.
We’ll also take a look at the center pass through design that provides an elegant solution to the cable management issues that are common amongst most 360 degree pan and tilt units.
I’m very much looking forward to using the Propan 2.1 on the new 1900mm SkyWalker that I recently picked up.
Because I have yet to assemble the SkyWalker, for the purpose of this video I’ll be mocking up the Propan 2.1 on the fuse and using a servo tester to give the servos a workout. Flight video will have to wait until I can get the plane built.
Here are a few of the enhancements you’ll enjoy in the new 2.1 version of the ProPan:
A new injected molded upper cradle mount that has a 10 degree increase in the downward tilt angle.
Many of the critical parts are now injection molded rather than 3D printed for more precision.
The new belt drive system uses a crazy strong Neoprene Rubber with Fiberglass Reinforced Belt travelling on GT2 pitch Gears
The thickness of the reinforced bottom plate has been increased to 2.5mm
Note: The unit you see in the video has gears that were 3D printed. All units shipped after the upload of this video will include injection molded gears.
Existing Propan 2 owners will have the option to upgrade. More information will be available soon at www.fpvgadgets.com
Replacement parts will be made available for current and future owners of the Propan 2.1 and more information will be posted on their website soon.
