By popular demand, a review of the popular FlySky FS i6 2.4GHz RC system with matching 6-channel telemetry enabled receiver.
Pros:
- low cost
- simple to use
- small and lightweight
- build-quality okay for such a cheap radio
- AFHSD system uses about 90% of the band
- can be upgraded to independent software
Cons:
- uses a 4x AA battery holder (no lipo/Life option)
- irritating inactivity alarm kicks way too quickly
- no RSSI alarm
- no haptic feedback and alarm beep is too quiet
- no "simple" lipo telemetry
- only one 3-position switch
Summary:
It's hard to complain, given the price and if the deficiencies of this radio are not important to you then it looks like pretty good value.
Thanks to Chris (iforce2d) for lending me this radio to review.
