In this episode, the Roswell Flight Test Crew unboxes and sets up the Walkera Voyager 5. The latest in the company's line of commercial drones, the Voyager 5 carries a 30x optical zoom camera and employs a double-redundant battery system. The aircraft is powered by three separate batteries and is able to operate using just one of them in an emergency. The extremely sturdy aircraft features carbon fiber limbs and landing struts with aluminum hardware. It folds up into a compact shape for transportation and storage but can be deployed for flight in less than a minute. The controller is compatible with an Android or iOS tablet or smartphone, which displays video and telemetry from the aircraft. The kit includes a battery charger capable of charging all three batteries simultaneously, and arrives in a roller case with a telescoping handle useful for transporting and storing the aircraft. The Voyager 5 meets the IP 43 standard and is able to operate in the rain and other adverse weather.
