Installation Of The 7mm Tail Motor Set:
Take note that this upgrade will only fit on the Walkera Mini CP, Walkera Super CP and Walkera Genius CP. Replacing the 5mm stock tail motor with the 7mm tail motor is straight forward, and will only take five minutes to complete.
1. Disconnect the tail motor power lead from the receiver.
2. Remove the stock 5mm tail motor and boom from the main frame.
3. Slide the upgrade DragonSky Complete 7mm tail motor and boom into the main frame.
4. Connect the tail motor power lead to the receiver.
Reason To Buy The DragonSky Complete 7mm Tail Motor Set:
When you upgrade the stock coreless main motor on the Walkera Mini CP, Walkera Super CP and Walkera Genius CP with a brushless main motor, the helicopter need more power on the tail to overcome the extra torque. Although the helicopter will fly with the stock 5mm tail motor, the tail will swing out with large collective pitch inputs. To overcome this tendency, you can either upgrade the tail motor with a brushless motor, or with the more powerful 7mm tail motor with larger tail rotor.
Flying The Walkera Genius CP V2 With The 7mm Tail Motor:
Upgrading the stock 5mm tail motor with the 7mm tail motor makes a huge difference in the helicopters tail holding ability during flight. The tail is solid during all aspects of flight and will not swing out with large collective inputs. 3D flight is more controllable which make flipping the helicopter very easy. Although the 7mm tail motor is a bit heavier compared with the stock 5mm tail motor, the helicopters CG is not effected.
